Date Night dates for 2017
Why a Date Night? What’s the goal?
Most couples, if they wanted to go out on a date, could do that any night they wanted. So why are we as a church scheduling Date Nights?
The goal for every couple on Date Night is for them to interact, converse, and most important, have fun! Many couples who go out on a date—once they’re married—instead of talking and enjoying one another and having fun, they’re reliving the latest issue or fight they had.
It’s sad, but once married, couples tend to lose sight of the importance of having fun. We want to help change that.
When will Date Night happen?
Date Nights will happen four times a year. They will take place on a Saturday night from 5:00-8:00pm.
How does a Date Night work?
It’s really pretty simple. Date Night is a time when you and your spouse (or date) go out for the evening with the intention of focusing in on your relationship with each other.
Date Nights at North Pointe are intended to be fun and interactive, where couples are engaging meaningful conversation that encourages, affirms, and gives them an opportunity to get to know one another better.
We like to call it “dating with intentionality.” Most couples understand the context of dating, but what many couples struggle with is the content.
Each North Pointe Date Night will come with some fun content to get couples dialoging again.
Couples will arrive at the church at 5:00pm and pull through the circle drive in front of the Welcome Center where they will be given a goodie bag that will include discount coupons for nearby restaurants and their very own interactive Date Night Guide.
DATE NIGHT CHILDCARE INFORMATION
We will be hosting a Parents Date Night on February 4th from 5pm to 7pm. Please bring your infant to 5th grade children to the church for a night of fun while you go out and enjoy a child-free night! - Toddlers will have free play with toys, books, and play-doh.
- 3 to 5 year olds will play games, make a craft, and watch a short movie
- 1st and 2nd graders will play a lot of exciting large group and "Minute to Win It" games!

What if my child has an allergy?
Please pack an EPI pen in a bag with your child's name on it if your child has a serious allergy. We will place the bag in the classroom that your child is in and send it home at the end of the evening with your child.
We will be serving pizza for dinner that evening. If your child is unable to eat pizza, please pack a dinner for your child to eat at the church with their name on it.
Where do I go when I arrive at North Pointe?
When you arrive at North Pointe turn right in the parking lot. You will see the building labeled "Children's Area". Walk into the doors on that building. When you walk in you will find our Children's Check-In desk. There we will have greeters that will collect you and your child's information. You will also receive a Date Night Packet. From there your children will go to their age groups area for games and you will be free to go on your date.
How do I Check-In my Child?
At the Check-In desk we will have a sheet of paper for you to fill out. The information that we will need will be:
Your First and Last Name
Your Phone Number
Your Spouse's Name and Number
Your Children's Names
Your Children's Ages
Any Allergies that your children have
How will you contact me if there is a problem concerning my child?
We will use the sheet that you filled out to check-in your child to contact you or your spouse by phone.
